Tyler's Elden Ring Sub-Goal Scandal

Tyler1 Accused of Sub-Goal Scam: Elden Ring Marathon Cancelled for Mansion Move
In what can only be described as the most Tyler1 move ever, the Twitch streamer and notorious League of Legends addict, Tyler1, is facing serious heat after pulling what many fans are calling a classic “sub-goal scam.” This time, the fallout revolves around a broken promise to stream an Elden Ring marathon after hitting a mind-blowing 20,000 subscriber goal. But instead of seeing him rage against Elden Ring’s toughest bosses, fans were left with nothing but Tyler flexing his newly acquired 20,000 square foot mansion—and, of course, more League of Legends.
So what did he do?
Let's set the scene: Tyler1, known for his unbreakable addiction to League and for terrorizing Summoner’s Rift with champions like Illaoi (who, let’s face it, kind of fits Tyler’s playstyle: toxic and in-your-face), made a bold promise. If he hit 20,000 subs, he’d take a break from League and dive headfirst into an Elden Ring marathon. His fans rallied behind this fantasy—after all, who wouldn’t want to see Tyler try (and almost definitely fail) at a game where tilting isn’t an option but a guarantee?
And then, the impossible happened. Tyler hit the 20,000 sub mark faster than Illaoi’s tentacles can slam into a 5-man teamfight. Elden Ring was on the horizon. Or so we thought.
Fast forward to the fateful Monday when the marathon was set to begin. Fans were eagerly awaiting Tyler’s battle with Elden Ring's relentless bosses. But, in true Tyler1 fashion, the marathon was delayed—because he was late. Not just any kind of late, though. He finally showed up to the stream only to announce, with zero hesitation and even less remorse, that he had been far too busy moving into his brand-new 20,000 square foot mansion. Yeah, you read that right. Apparently, all those subs went straight into funding his new mega-mansion, which, for the record, could probably house 5 entire LCS teams.
Tyler, looking as unapologetic as ever, casually brushed off the marathon delay, telling his viewers, “I know, I KNOW, I said I’d play Elden Ring today, BUT…you don’t just move into a 20k sq ft mansion in a day! This place is massive, you idiots!” Unsurprisingly, the chat was not having it. Fans were furious, flooding the chat with a sea of angry messages and “Where’s Elden Ring, Tyler?” questions.
He tried to twist the story and turn it on his chat
So, what did Tyler do next? Did he apologize and immediately boot up Elden Ring to make things right? Of course not. Instead, he decided to distract his increasingly irritated audience with a poll. Yes, a poll. He gave his chat two options: (1) Play Elden Ring right now, or (2) Delay it until next week. Now, anyone who’s been in Tyler’s chat before knows his polls are about as legit as a boosted Iron IV account. Sure enough, the results came in mysteriously in favor of delaying the marathon to next week.
If you guessed that Tyler used this as an excuse to fire up League of Legends instead, congratulations. You’ve won the prize of being completely unsurprised. Tyler spent the rest of the stream playing League, locked in on his beloved Illaoi, throwing tentacles and pretending the Elden Ring scandal wasn’t erupting all around him.
While he tried to suppress the uprising with his usual dictatorship style (“Hey, it’s MY stream, I’ll do what I want!”), the chat and Reddit weren’t about to let him off the hook. Reddit exploded with posts titled things like “Tyler1’s Sub-Goal Fraud: I Subbed for Elden Ring, Not Illaoi” and “20k Subs = 20k Sq Ft Mansion Scam?” Memes flooded in faster than a fed Draven snowballing bot lane. One particularly brutal meme showed Tyler fighting Elden Ring’s Tree Sentinel with a caption that read: “Tyler1 vs. Accountability: Guess Who Won?”
Did he take any accountability?
The fallout continued as fans called Tyler out for what they saw as a blatant bait-and-switch. Some demanded refunds for their subs, others were simply there for the drama (because honestly, watching Tyler dodge accountability is almost as entertaining as watching him dodge skill shots). When accused on these facts, Tyler1 lashed out at his chat with pure rage.
As of now, Tyler1 hasn’t addressed the backlash in any meaningful way, instead opting to keep doing what he does best—playing League. He claims the Elden Ring marathon is still coming…next week. Or the week after that. Or whenever he’s done perfecting his mansion’s gaming setup. But fans are growing increasingly doubtful, with some wondering if Tyler1 will ever actually step foot in Elden Ring, or if this is just another chapter in the saga of Tyler1's League addiction.
One thing’s for sure: Tyler1 may have 20,000 subs, but the one thing he’ll never have is an easy way out of this scandal. Not that he seems to care—he’s too busy breaking towers (and promises).
Stay tuned for more updates. Or, as Tyler might say, “Maybe next week.”
